He arose!

Greetings on this damp and dreary day here in southern Maine.

Yesterday was the best Easter ever. We started out early along with our summer intern from Brazil. We arrived at the church at 4:15A.M. and along side other men in the church, we cooked up 30 pounds of bacon, 428 eggs and enjoyed a wonderful sunrise service and breakfast. About 125 people came out early. We then went back home and enjoyed some time with our boys. The church service at 11 was packed out and extremely powerful. The message was the best sermon I’ve heard and to close the service we sang “The Power of the Cross.” I couldn’t even sing the last verse as my lower lip just quivered as tears ran down my face.

Oh, to see the dawn
Of the darkest day,
Christ on the road to Calvary.
Tried by sinful men,
Torn and beaten, then
Nailed to a cross of wood.

This, the power of the cross,
Christ became sin for us
Took the blame, bore the wrath
We stand forgiven at the cross.

Oh, to see the pain
Written on Your face,
Bearing the awesome weight of sin.
Every bitter thought,
Every evil deed
Crowning Your bloodstained brow.

Now the daylight flees
Now the ground beneath
Quakes as its Maker bows His head.
Curtain torn in two,
Dead are raised to life,
"Finished!" the victory cry.

We closed out the day spending time together. When your boys receives Christ on Easter weekend it adds a whole different level to the celebration. He arose!

This week I have two finals, so that is my focus for this week. Last Saturday we had a great turn out at the hangar and got alot accomplished on the annual inspection for N12ER.

Now that its Monday, and we look to John 21; lets cast our nets. There are souls out there that need the Euanglion (Gospel).
