Humility is the key

Good Morning,

Since Saturday the days have been very busy. Studying for the flight training, driving to the flight school and also being committed with responsibilities at home, church and PTG (Propelling the Gospel). Although, there are so many things going on the Lord never stop refreshing my heart with his love and mercy.

Last Saturday, Alec and I went to Portland Airport (Portland International Jetport) to pick up the PTG’S plane which was away for some maintenance inspection. It was a great time that we had together of fellowship and also of flight orientation. I had the awesome opportunity of putting into practice what I have learned in class. Looking at those flight instruments used to be confusing for me but now they look way more familiar. It’s a lot more fun flying knowing what those instruments are for and the principles of each one of them.

On Sunday after church was over, I was surprised by the Roberts’ family who invited me for lunch at their house. I am so grateful to see the care of the body of Christ for one another that just fills my heart of joy. So, instead of going home and be all by myself I could enjoy a delicious BBQ while hanging out with an amazing family that made me feel like home. Through the week classes went well and the studies are going at full power. Tonight, I have one more to get done and I’m very excited for it.

This morning I was reading James 4 and the Lord touched my heart about the word humility. We might not have noticed that because we are so busy with our daily tasks but we could be putting our pride first in many decisions through our week thinking we can do it on our own rather than surrendering it to God. Are you too busy to talk to God first before you make a decision? Do you really think you are self-sufficient to lead your life and make decision on your own?

James 4:6 and 10

“But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, ‘God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.’ “.

“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.”

(If you can, read the whole chapter 4 of James)

Have a blessed morning!
