Enthroned at the Flood!

Good morning everyone.

As we all face various trials during these days I find much peace in quiet time in the Word of God more than ever. As of late I have slowly been walking through the book of Romans and Psalms. With all that is going on I would encourage you to read Psalms 29 this morning.

PSALM 29

Praise to God in His Holiness and Majesty A Psalm of David.

1 Give unto the LORD, O you mighty ones, Give unto the LORD glory and strength. 2 Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. 3 The voice of the LORD is over the waters; The God of glory thunders; The LORD is over many waters. 4 The voice of the LORD is powerful; The voice of the LORD is full of majesty. 5 The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars, Yes, the LORD splinters the cedars of Lebanon. 6 He makes them also skip like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox. 7 The voice of the LORD divides the flames of fire. 8 The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; The LORD shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh. 9 The voice of the LORD makes the deer give birth, And strips the forests bare; And in His temple everyone says, “Glory!” 10 The LORD sat enthroned at the Flood, And the LORD sits as King forever. 11 The LORD will give strength to His people; The LORD will bless His people with peace.

What a great encouragement it is to know that during the worlds worst crisis God still sat enthroned!

Tomorrow my new classes start and I am so excited for that to begin. I have had three weeks off in preparation which allowed me to read two books on “preaching” and also catch up on a lot of needed rest. Last week we delivered two more groceries packages and have seen a decrease in needs within our circles. Based on the decrease and the ability to drive to those recent places we have decided to bring the airplane back to our home airfield and start the annual inspection. We still do have our second airplane in western New York that we will deal with once COVID-19 starts to diminish.

I am seeing a lot of people begin to question their existence and begin looking at their lack of faith. Currently I am discipling two people on a daily basis virtually and in person and it is thrilling to see people encounter who God is. I find it a great joy and also humbling to be able to serve the Lord in this capacity.

Lately things at work are quite uncertain and I am praying the Lord just continues to lead our family where ever He desires. Bri and I have spent much time in study and prayer about how the Lord would have us prepare for the next few years to achieve His mission He is calling us to. One thing I can say about this pandemic is I am thankful for the bond our small family has formed during this crisis, while God is still enthroned.

Have a blessed week and don’t forget to delight in His Word.

Blessings,

Alec & Bri
